The provincial nomination is an important fast-track option for Canadian permanent residence. The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to move to Canada. In short, who are interested in settling in a particular province.
Each Canadian province, except Quebec, which has a different Point System and two territories have their own unique Provincial Nominee Programs. Participating provinces and territories sign agreements with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allow them to select immigrants who meet the requirements that they have

Canada PNP (Province Nomination programs) allow Canadian provinces to nominate individuals for immigration to their province based on criteria set by the provincial government from the foreign countries. Successful applicants obtain a provincial nomination which is helpful to get the ITA (Invitation to Apply) from IRCC (Refugees and Citizenship Canada), which may then be used to apply to Immigration to Canada.
The Provincial Nominee Program, or PNP, gives nine Canadian provinces and two territories the power to select immigrants who meet local labour market needs and priorities. IRCC provides each province and territory with an annual allocation of nominations for Canadian permanent residence that is disbursed through streams tailored to their specific labour market needs.
Combined, the 11 provinces and territories that take part in Canada’s PNP have than 70 nomination streams that range in focus from international graduates of local universities to workers with skills listed as in-demand in the province, As of 2015, most PNPs contain at least one immigration stream
aligned with the Federal Express Entry immigration selection system. The candidate will require specific Canadian province that he/she wishes to move to, through the provincial nominee schemes (as mentioned below):

When you are planning to Canada under Province nomination program, first thing you need to do is apply to the PNP in the province or territory where you want to move or settle. To qualify for Canada PNP, you need to have the minimum skills like age, education and work experience. So, you can settle in Canada and support yourself and your family.
The province or territory will assess your profile. If you meet their economic or labor market needs, they will send you the invitation. According to the federal government of Canada, the processing time for Canada PNP differs from state to state. After the province or territory approves your application, your next step is to apply for permanent residence within 60 days of time. It depends on the province or territory whether you have to apply through the Express Entry system or through regular application process.
As with the national federal Canadian Express Entry program, every Provincial Nominee Program requires applicants to submit relevant documents in support of their application.
The following is a general document list of required by Canadian provinces for immigration through PNPs:
1. Documents related to applicants’ past history like past work experience letters, educational documents, identity proofs etc.
2. Documents related to applicants’ family member (parents, partner/spouse, and child)
3. A signed declaration form by principal applicant and family members
4. Additional declaration forms signed by dependants
5. Your valid travelling documents (passport, visa with valid date)
6. Proof of language proficiency (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL etc.)
7. Civil or legal documents showing applicants’ name, father’s name, date of birth, birth place etc.
8. Police clearance certificate
9. Health related documents
10. Your recent photographs
